- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 0-2 years of applicable work experience
- Outstanding communication abilities, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders and conveying intricate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Robust analytical and evaluative reasoning abilities
- Adaptable work style and skill in prioritizing and managing time efficiently to fulfill deadlines and meet client requirements.
- Familiarity with various planning tools like PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP, PSCAD, SKM, DigSILENT, MiPower, and ETAP.
- Experience in power system planning and operations includes load forecasting, generator interconnection, and harmonics analysis; power flow studies, short-circuit analysis, transient stability assessments, dynamic studies, contingency evaluations, reliability analyses, risk assessment methods, and protection coordination; and generator interconnection, load forecasting, and harmonics assessment.
- Demonstrated success in guiding teams and offering direction as needed.
- Keep informed about the newest industry trends and technologies and communicate insights with others.
- Capability to supervise technical implementation of projects from start to finish.
- Effectively oversee budget and timeline limitations, while informing key stakeholders of potential challenges.
- Knowledge of IEEE/NERC & IEC standards and experience in North American power system fundamentals will provide additional benefits.
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously, including pinpointing critical path elements to guarantee that delivery timelines are achieved.
- Help in creating training materials and managing documentation for team members.
